- How do I find out how much it will cost me for staying at a particular
London hotel for any period of time?
To find out how much a stay at a hotel will cost you use the rate finder on
the main hotel page, fill in when you will be arriving and when you'll be
departing and click "Find!" and the site will automatically select the best
possible rates for your stay and on the next page will display them to you.
From there if you want order a rate, fill in how many rooms you want and how
many people will be staying and click 'Book', this will add your booked rooms
to your 'shopping cart'. Please note: you can then book other rooms in any
hotel before you fill in your details.
- I'm looking for customer reviews of the hotels in London, where are they?
Each hotel has it's own guestbook page where you can read comments about the
hotel made by people who have stayed there.
- I submitted an entry into a hotels guestbook and I can't see it!
All the guestbook entries are verified by us before being posted on the site,
this allows us to remove re-posts, spam and any other unrelated comments.
- Can you tell me if there is non-smoking rooms available in a particular
hotel?
On the hotels features page it shows you whether or not the hotel offers non-smoking
rooms.
- Can you give me the phone number for any of the hotels in London?
If you have made a reservation with Hotels London Ltd we will be able to provide
the hotels telephone number.
- Can you tell me if a room is available on any particular day?
When you place a booking with us we check availability and get in touch with
you to say whether or not the room is available and if it isn't then our operators
can suggest other similar hotels you could use. An online availability checker
is planned and should be online soon.
- I'm looking for pictures of the London hotels, where are they?
On each hotel page there is a "Hotel Photos" link, this leads you to a page
of thumbnails that can be clicked on for a larger view.
- How do I find more information on the rooms/rates listed?
By clicking on the room/rate name a small information window will pop up displaying
extra information about the room/rate.
- Can I book rooms from more than one hotel at a time?
Yes, the 'My Bookings' page keeps track of all the rooms that you've ordered
from any hotels, like shopping carts on other shopping sites.
- Can I pay for the room with cash instead of by credit card?
Yes you can as full payment for your stay is made at the hotel, however we
still need valid credit card details to confirm a reservation.
- Will my card be charged before I arrive at the hotel?
In most cases your card is only used as a guarantee of your arrival and will
only be authorised prior to arrival. Some hotels, where stated (eg. Windermere
and Ashley Hotels), take a one night deposit, which is refundable in the event
you cancel outside the cancellation restrictions (Windermere also charges
a £10 penalty/admin fee for this)
- How do I book if I do not have a credit card?
Bookings can only be accepted with a valid credit card to secure the reservation.
- How do I book if I do not want to send my credit card details over the
internet?
By fax or telephone. However, Hotels London runs
on the latest Stronghold Secure server software to ensure that your details
are kept safe as they are sent to us.
- Why did my confirmation take so long to reach me?
Some Hotmail users may experience a slight delay in receiving their e-mail
confirmations due to the e-mail filtering system Microsoft Hotmail employs.
At this point we do not know of any other e-mail service providers who are
experiencing the same delays.
- Which credit cards are accepted by the hotel?
All major credit cards including Switch Cards (UK) are accepted, unless otherwise
stated (eg. American Express is not accepted at most budget hotels and by
14 seater coach airport transfers).
- What is the cancellation policy?
You may cancel any reservation without penalty 72 hours (3 days) prior to
your arrival date. Otherwise the hotel is entitled to charge a 1 night penalty
fee for cancellations WITHIN 72 hours (3 days) before arrival date. This is
at the discretion of the hotel concerned. (Group/Conference bookings may alter
as have different terms and conditions may be applied).
- What is Continental and English breakfast?
Continental- Cold breakfast including: cereals, fruit, bread (toast), juices,tea
& coffee, cold meats
Full English - Cooked breakfast including: bacon, eggs,tomatoes,baked beans,toast,mushrooms,
juices,tea & coffee
- Is transport available from the airport to the hotels??
Yes, Hotels London arrange these transfers for you through private companies.
The hotels do not provide free transfer services. Hotels London has arranged
these at discounted rates. This is detailed on the hotels reservation page
when you book a hotel or through the resources section
on the website.
- Can I check in earlier than the check in time?
Subject to availability on the day of arrival, all depends on how many rooms
are taken from the night before.
- Can I leave my bags at the hotel?
Yes, you can leave your luggage with reception until your room is ready. Some
hotels will also store your luggage for several days. There may be a small
charge for this.
- Can I check out later than the check-out time?
Some hotels allow this, subject to availability and usually without charge
until midday. However most will charge for this should this extend past midday.
